Raiders cut Matt Schaub

The Oakland Raiders cut quarterback Matt Schaub, days after signing quarterback Christian Ponder. Schaub was acquired for a sixth-round pick last year, but he lost his starting job to Derek Carr before the start ofthe season. The Raiders saved $5.5 million in cap space with the move. Schaub has dealt with elbow tendinitis. Follow me on Twitter: @RavensInsider Aaron Wilson covers the Ravens for The Baltimore Sun
