Raiders' Goodson released from hospital

Oakland Raiders running back Mike Goodson, who was transported to the hospital by ambulance following a helmet-to-helmet hit in practice, has been released from the hospital.

The Raiders issued the following statement regarding Goodson's condition: "The Raiders received encouraging news Tuesday night from doctors treating Mike Goodson, who left the practice field with a neck injury, with movement in his extremities, during the team’s training-camp practice. Goodson’s CT scan and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) test were negative. He has returned to the team’s training-camp headquarters at the Napa Valley Marriott."

Goodson was down for about 15 minute following a collision with teammate Phillip Wheeler. The news that he is recovering well is certainly good to hear.
