Raiders hire Bill Musgrave as offensive coordinator

The Oakland Raiders hired Bill Musgrave as their new offensive coordinator.

Musgrave spent last season coaching the Philadelphia Eagles' quarterbacks.

Musgrave was the Raiders' quarterbacks coach in 1997.

He was Raiders coach Jack Del Rio's offensive coordinator with the Jacksonville Jaguars for two seasons.

Musgrave, 47, will coach promising quarterback Derek Carr. Howeover, the Raiders finished last in total offense and rushing offense last season.

Musgrave was the Minnesota Vikings' offensive coordinator from 2011 to 2013.

Musgrave beat out Marc Trestman for the job.
