Raiders' Kelly: Schaub choked

Oakland defensive tackle Tommy Kelly used the "C word" when describing Houston quarterback Matt Schaub's last-second interception that preserved the Raiders' 25-20 victory Sunday.

"Old boy choked," Kelly told the Houston Chronicle. "All he had to do was run it in. He choked, simple as that."

Strong words to be sure, but the truth is, the Texans have developed a bad habit over the years of letting games they should win get away from them at the end.

On Sunday, Schaub drove the Texans to the Raiders' 5 in the waning moments of the game. Under pressure, it appears Schaub could have had a chance to scramble into the end zone for the winning score. Instead, he chose to flip the ball into the end zone where Oakland's Michael Huff picked it off to preserve the win for the Raiders.

"I'm not necessarily a guy that's going to make a whole lot of guys miss in the open field," Schaub said, speaking of the thought of running for the TD.
