Raiders sign Houshmandzadeh

T.J. Houshmandzadeh's career has been on the ropes in recent years, as he has bounced from Cincinnati to Seattle to Baltimore the past three seasons, and was not on a roster when the 2011 season began.

But the veteran wide receiver bounced back on Tuesday, landing with the Oakland Raiders.

Houshmandzadeh, 34, has plenty of familiarity with the Raiders, even if he has never worn the silver and black until now. Raiders head coach Hue Jackson was his position coach with the Bengals, and of course, he was also teammates with Carson Palmer in Cincy.

How much Houshmandzadeh has left in the tank is up for debate. He had only 30 catches last year for the Ravens. But apparently it's a gamble the Raiders are willing to take.
