Rams expand their GM search to a 10th candidate
The St. Louis Rams have expanded their search for a new general manager to 10.
That’s because Omar Khan of the Pittsburgh Steelers has been added to the mix. The Rams sought permission to interview Khan, according to Scott Brown of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.
Khan primarily handles the salary cap and contract negotiations for the Steelers. The Rams are going to leave control of their 53-man roster in the hands of new coach Jeff Fisher.
The Rams got to nine candidates earlier this week when Tom Gamble of the San Francisco 49ers got an interview. George Paton, the director of player personnel for the Minnesota Vikings, is the only candidate to interview twice.
