The St. Louis Rams have extended the contract of defensive end Eugene Sims through the 2015 season, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

The defensive end's contract was scheduled to run out after this season.

Sims had 36 tackles, three sacks and one interception for the Rams in 2012.
