Rams make it official with Brian Schottenheimer
The St. Louis Rams continue to seek a new general manager.
But Jeff Fisher got himself an offensive coordinator today. Former New York Jets offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer has been hired, according to Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
The move makes official what Mike Lombardi of the NFL Network reported earlier in the week. Before Schottenheimer got the gig, though, the Rams explored the possibility of adding Hue Jackson as a play caller. That didn’t happen and now Schottenheimer is the man charged with finding success with quarterback Sam Bradford.
Meanwhile, the GM hunt continues. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Rams will interview Jets vice president of college scouting Joey Clinkscales for the position this coming week.
