Rams promote LB Curtis Johnson from practice squad

The St. Louis Rams have promoted linebacker Curtis Johnson from the practice squad to the 53-man roster.

Johnson takes the place of running back Chauncey Washington, who was released on Tuesday.

Johnson has played 10 games over the last two seasons for the Dallas Cowboys and Indianapolis Colts, primarily on special teams. According to Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, defensive back Antoine Thompson was signed to take the place of Johnson on the practice squad.
