Rams scheduling workouts across the country
The St. Louis Rams were supposed to hold their rookie minicamp this weekend.
That was lost to the lockout. Now, the club’s veterans are trying to organize some workouts in the St. Louis area and near Phoenix.
Linemen and selected other players have been working out for two months in a suburb of St. Louis. Quarterback Sam Bradford has gotten together with some receivers in Houston. Now, cornerback Ron Bartell tells Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch that a gathering is being planned in Phoenix for the first week of June. The veterans are reaching out to the team’s recent draft picks too in order to get them involved.
When the team can gather officially remains to be seen. OTA’s are scheduled to begin Tuesday. Obviously, there is little to no chance of that happening now.
