Rams Trade Sam Bradford to Philadelphia for Nick Foles, Pick Swap
The St. Louis Rams will trade quarterback Sam Bradford to the Philadelphia Eagles for quarterback Nick Foles, as well as unofficially trading first round picks this year and a conditional pick next year as per Adam Schefter and Ian Rapoport.
As soon as free agency officially began at 4 p.m, Adam Schefter was busy breaking huge news. Philadelphia has been busy this off season as Chip Kelly has dissembled and reassembled a team that went 10-6 in consecutive seasons. Through this trade, Philadelphia acquires a new signal caller while the Rams hope to get some consistency out of their new starting quarterback.
The Rams will save a ton of cap room from this trade while acquiring a quarterback who has flashed great talent at times. Bradford's career, on the other hand, has been tainted by injuries, but experts and analysts rave about his potential.
With the unofficial pick swap, the Eagles would acquire the 10th overall pick giving the Rams the 20th overall pick.
