Rams, Vikings up in the air with McDaniels undecided

Josh McDaniels remains in limbo between the Minnesota Vikings and St. Louis Rams, and both teams are hedging their bets at this point.

It’s been believed McDaniels would choose the Rams over the Vikings with St. Louis quarterback Sam Bradford being a big reason why. That hasn’t happened and now the Rams have requested permission to meet with Darrell Bevell, who remains under contract to the Vikings, and Falcons assistant head coach/quarterbacks coach Bill Musgrave, according to ESPN. Interestingly, the Vikings are also scheduled to meet with Musgrave.

More wild cards? Bevell will interview with the Seattle Seahawks about their quarterbacks coach job and Musgrave is also meeting with the Cleveland Browns, all according to the Minneapolis Star-Tribune.

The upshot of the whole thing is it looks like Bevell is likely out in Minnesota. One guy who is in is special teams coach Mike Priefer, who is expected to be hired. Also, Mike Singletary will be the team’s linebackers coach.
