Ravens cut Daryl Smith, don't pick up Chris Canty's option

The Ravens cut middle linebacker Daryl Smith. They created $2.625 million in salary-cap room. Smith started every game for the Ravens since joining the team. He had 121 tackles, three sacks and an interception last season. He had 251 tackles in his first two seasons with the team. Smith turns 34 on March 14.
