Ravens' Foxworth on knee: 'It hurts. It sucks.'
Baltimore Ravens cornerback Dominique Foxworth might be rested until his surgically repaired right knee improves, according to Coach John Harbaugh.
Harbaugh told Aaron Wilson of the Carroll County Times that Foxworth is playing "very, very conservatively" and might be rested.
"It hurts," Foxworth said. "It sucks. I had a lot of pain during camp. It's still hurting. This is where we are."
Foxworth says the knee has caused him to play more cautiously than he otherwise might.
"When I'm out there I want to make plays, but when you're out there in pain, you're kind of trying not to 'F' things up," Foxworth said. "You end up playing conservatively because you don't want to let people down and you're still letting people down. So, it feels like you're in a lose-lose sometimes. You stay confident and keep fighting and do whatever's asked of me."
Last week, Foxworth was in press coverage near the goal line on Tennessee's Kenny Britt, then backed off several yards, standing halfway into the end zone and easily gave up a touchdown pass.
