Ravens' Graham would like to stay in Baltimore

Corey Graham was brought to the Baltimore Ravens for depth and to be an insurance policy, but after Lardarius Webb and Jimmy Smith were sidelined with injuries, the former Chicago Bears cornerback became an important piece of the puzzle for the Ravens.

Now, he would like to finish his career in Baltimore, he tells Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun.

"I would love to finish my career here," said Graham. "It's a great place to play football. They take care of the players. They support their players. The fans are great. It's a great place to be. It's amazing."

Graham is scheduled to make $2.05 million this season in base salary, after he got a bump in pay from an escalator clause that kicked in. He also could figure prominently into the Ravens plans again as Carey Williams departed as a free agent, and there is no guarantee that Webb, coming off an ACL injury, will be ready by the start of the season.

If Webb does come back in time for the opener, Graham and Smith are likely to compete for the other starting spot.

"Obviously, it's a competition between me and him, but not just me and him – everybody," Graham said. "I'm going to go out there and do my best, and I'm pretty sure he's going to do the same. Whatever happens is what happens."
