Ravens hold Reed out of Thursday practice
Baltimore Ravens safety Ed Reed was held out of the team's practice Thursday as a precaution from a stinger suffered in Monday night's loss in Jacksonville.
According to the Baltimore Sun, Reed was held out Thursday after he had been a full participant in Wednesday's practice.
Reed, who has battled a nerve impingement in his neck over the past couple of seasons, was one of five Ravens who did not practice on Thursday. Others who sat out included receiver Lee Evans (left ankle), left guard Ben Grubbs (right toe), inside linebacker Dannell Ellerbe (hamstring) and running back Anthony Allen (thigh).
