Ravens move up Fitzgerald Toussaint to 53-man roster
The Ravens like having three running backs in their rotation on game days. With Lorenzo Taliaferro dealing with a foot injury, Baltimore needed to make a roster move to ensure they'd have enough runners available for Sunday's game against the Jaguars.
The Ravens did so by moving running back Fitzgerald Toussaint from the practice squad to the 53-man roster on Saturday, according to The Baltimore Sun and National Football Post's Aaron Wilson. The Ravens' corresponding roster move was putting offensive lineman Jah Reid on injured reserve.
Toussaint, an undrafted rookie out of Michigan, impressed in the preseason finale against the Saints, going for 103 yards on 17 carries. He's been on the 53-man roster for two games but hasn't logged a regular-season carry this year.
