Ravens to release three players

The Baltimore Ravens are poised to release three players, including wide receiver Lee Evans whom they acquired from Buffalo before the start of last season, says Aaron Wilson of the Carroll County Times.

Cornerbacks Chris Carr and Dominique Foxworth are also being let go.

Evans dropped a touchdown pass that would have given Baltimore the lead late in their AFC Championship Game against New England. The Ravens eventually lost when Billy Cundiff missed a game-tying field goal two plays later.

Foxworth and Carr were both bothered by injuries last season. Carr had a back injury that plagued him, and Foxworth's knee not only landed him on injured reserve, but could be serious enough that his career is in question.
