Ray Lewis says he will retire after season
Ray Lewis said that this will be his final season, according to the Baltimore Sun.
Lewis, who is returning this week after a biceps injury, said he will end his 17-year run after this season ends. Lewis is planning on playing this weekend against the Indianapolis Colts in the AFC Wild-Card Playoffs.
"I've ran my course. It's time for me to go create a different legacy," Lewis said Tuesday. "It's a new chapter that I've already planned out."
Lewis will go down in history as the heart and soul of the Ravens franchise after being a first-round pick in 1996. He has been selected to 13 Pro Bowls and was on the Associated Press All-Pro team 10 times.
