Ray Rice expects to re-up with Ravens

Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice said Thursday he expects to re-sign with the team with his original contract set to expire at the season's end.

“Our organization is a first-class organization,” Rice told the Baltimore Sun. “They’ve always did a good job of keeping their star players around and I think I’ll be one of the guys that in the offseason -- or whenever it is. I figure if you take care of the game, the game will take care of you, and I’ll be a Baltimore Raven next year.”

Where Rice fits into the running back pay scale should be interesting. Will he want Chris Johnson ($30 million guaranteed, $53 million total) or Adrian Peterson ($36 million guaranteed, $100 million total) money or somewhere between that and what Carolina gave DeAngelo Williams ($21 milliion guaranteed, $43 million total).

It will be interesting to watch Rice's camp and Ravens GM Ozzie Newsome sort this one out.
