Redsins promote Jamison, IR Royster

The Washington Redskins promoted rookie running back Jawan Jamison to the active roster from the prasctice squad, placing running back Evan Royster on injured reserve with a high-ankle sprain.

Royster got hurt against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday during a 45-10 loss.

Jamison is a seventh-round pick from Rutgers, who rushed for 1,972 yards and 13 touchdowns in college.

The Redskins signed running back Miguel Maysonet to their practice squad on Tuesday. He has previous stints with the Philadelphia Eagles, Cleveland Browns, San Diego Chargers, Indianapolis Colts and New York Jets.
