Redskins add Cable understudy to coaching staff
The Washington Redskins have hired Chris Morgan as an assistant offensive line coach, the same position he held the previous two seasons for the Oakland Raiders.
Morgan, who coached under Tom Cable in Oakland, also played for Cable at the University of Colorado. He then followed the coach to Idaho.
“Out of all the players that I have coached who have gone into the coaching profession, Chris is the greatest student and finest teacher of what offensive line play is about,” Cable said in a statement released by the Redskins. “He understands what it takes to buy into the system and buy into the discipline of it.”
