Redskins bring back Stallworth, Scott
The Washington Redskins have brought back two familiar faces to fill holes created by injuries.
Wide receiver Donte’ Stallworth and defensive end Darrion Scott were re-signed today after being cut loose a week ago.
Stallworth was needed after rookie wide receiver Leonard Hankerson was placed on injured reserve. Hankerson, a fourth-round draft pick from Miami, was showing promise but his season was cut short after the team’s loss to the Miami Dolphins.
Scott fills the void creates when defensive end Kedric Golston was placed on injured reserve with a knee injury. He suffered a partially torn ACL and a tear of his MCL in the loss.
