Redskins claim CB Ramzee Robinson on waivers
The Washington Redskins added a cornerback when they claimed Ramzee Robinson off waivers from the Cleveland Browns.
The club also announced a pair of moves – the release of cornerback Melvin Stephenson and defensive lineman Greg Peterson.
Robinson, Mr. Irrelevant in the 2007 draft for the Detroit Lions, has appeared in 26 career games. The Lions waived him before the beginning of the 2009 season. He appeared in three games with the Philadelphia Eagles and then in four games with the Cleveland Browns, primarily playing on special teams.
Peterson spent last season with Jacksonville and was signed by the Redskins in April. Stephenson was an undrafted free agent out of UTEP who Washington signed last month.
