Redskins cut Pat White

The Washington Redskins cut quarterback Pat White when they signed kicker John Potter.

White is the Redskins' fourth quarterback and is expected to rejoin the team as long as he clears waivers.

The former West Virginia standout completed 28 of 50 passes for 330 yards, no touchdowns and two interceptions during the preseason, rushingfor 103 yards and three touchdowns.

The Redskins needed a roster spot to sign Potter as regular kicker Kai Forbath is questionable with a groin injury.
