Redskins cutting Robert Griffin III
The Washington Redskins are cutting quarterback Robert Griffin III.
He was informed he'll be released Monday.
The Redskins switched quarterbacks last season, going with Kirk Cousins as their replacement.
Cousins is installed as the Redskins' franchise player.
Drafted second overall, Griffin is a former NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year. His career hasn't been the same since tearing his anterior cruciate ligament.
