Redskins hired Ike Hilliard as receivers coach

The Washington Redskins hired Ike Hilliard to coach their wide receivers again.

He was the Redskins' receivers coach in 2012 before joining the Buffalo Bills for last season as receivers coach and then not being retained after the season.

In a dozen NFL seasons, Hilliard caught 546 career passes for 6,397 yards with 35 touchdowns.

Hilliard played for the New York Giants and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, including time in Tampa Bay that coincided with new Redskins coach Jay Gruden as a Buccaneers assistant coach.

Hilliard has also coached for the Miami Dolphins, his first assistant coaching position.
