Redskins picking up fifth-year option for Robert Griffin III

The Washington Redskins say they're picking up a $16.155 million fifth-year option for quarterback Robert Griffin III. It's guaranteed for injury only. That means the Redskins can still cut him. Griffin III has been named the Redskins' starter for 2015. The Redskins had until May 3 to exercise the fifth-year option.
