Redskins safety Tanard Jackson suspended indefinitely for violating drug policy

Washington Redskins veteran safety Tanard Jackson has squandered yet another opportunity.

He's been suspended indefinitely for violating the NFL substance-abuse policy.

Reinstated after multiple suspensions for violating the NFL drug policy, Jackson was back with the Redskins after missing two years due to his own mistakes.

“It was difficult,’’ Jackson said recently. "You can imagine somebody getting taken away from something that they love to do and having to humble themselves after doing something wrong. That was me. I had to take responsibility for it and face the consequences.

“Going from playing football to working in a warehouse at a 9-to-5 job is a humbling experience. It’s taught me to never take anything in this business for granted.’’

Now, Jackson may be done playing football for good.
