Redskins scratch-off lottery tickets now cost a sawbuck
The economy in Virginia must be doing OK these days.
That’s because the folks at the Virginia Lottery are back in business with scratch-off lottery tickets featuring the Washington Redskins for the second consecutive year. The theme for the tickets which debuted Tuesday is “Redskins Legacy." Tickets cost $10 apiece.
The new game has three top prizes of $1 million, and other prizes will include field level season tickets for 10 years. That would be a nifty prize if the team was playing like some of the legacy teams did back in the day for the Redskins.
Per a press release, “nearly 95 cents” of every dollar spent in the lottery goes back to the state for education, prizes and retail commissions. So that means somewhere in that missing nickel the Redskins get a cut of the action.
