Redskins sign linebacker Akeem Jordan

The Washington Redskins have signed former Kansas City Chiefs veteran free agent inside linebacker Akeem Jordan to a one-year contract.

He also visited the Tennessee Titans.

The 6-foot-1, 230-pounder is considered to be a nice fit for 3-4 schemes, but could also fit into a 4-3 defense.

Jordan, 28, played last season under a one-year contract, recording 67 tackles and two forced fumbles in 10 starts.

For his career, the former Philadelphia Eagles linebacker and James Madison standout has 329 tackles, one sack, two interceptions and four forced fumbles.
