Redskins sign linebacker Chris Draft
The Washington Redskins signed linebacker Chris Draft to a one-year contract.
It’s a move that makes sense because he has experience playing for coordinator Jim Haslett in St. Louis. Draft will provide some depth for the team and help create some competition with minicamp kicking off today at Redskins Park.
Draft, 5-11, 232 pounds, played in all 16 games in Buffalo last season, making three starts and also participating on special teams. Originally a sixth-round draft pick by the Chicago Bears in 1998, Draft has 88 career starts. He was a starter for the Atlanta Falcons for five seasons and has also made stops in San Francisco and Carolina.
