Redskins still talking with Brian Westbrook

Because three over-the-hill veteran running backs can never be enough, the Washington Redskins remain in communication with Brian Westbrook about making three four a crowd.

Redskins coach Mike Shanahan said as much this afternoon, according to the Twitter account of Rick Maese of the Washington Post.

Westbrook made a free-agent visit to the Redskins last week and then jetted off to Denver to meet with the Broncos. He’s also visited St. Louis and could be deciding where he wants to play at this point.

Westbrook has a history of concussions and the Redskins already have Clinton Portis, Larry Johnson and Willie Parker in place. Stay tuned.
