Reed says he wants to play football for years

Ed Reed saying he was "not 100 percent committed" to playing for the Baltimore Ravens in 2012 during a radio interview now has the free safety backtracking a bit.

Reed now tells the Carroll County Times that his goal is "to play football for years to come."

Reed has battled a variety of injuries the past few years, and said the off-season is the time to think things through.

"It's not about retirement, it's about my focus in the offseason, health, family and football," Reed told the paper. "This is the time of year where players think through things. My goal is to play football in the years to come."

If that is true, it's one less thing for the Ravens to worry about this season.
