Report: Adrian Peterson won't be released
In wake of running back Adrian Peterson being indicted for reckless or negligent injury to a child, the Minnesota Vikings have to decide what to do moving forward.
They already deactivated him for Sunday's loss against the Patriots but will need to figure out what the next step. However, according to the New York Post, that step won't include releasing the Pro Bowl player.
The Vikings are expected to discuss every other option with Peterson, which wouldn't follow suit with what the Baltimore Ravens did with Ray Rice. It appears the Vikings would at least want to get something in return for arguably the best running back in football if they decide they don't want him around anymore.
Hey, maybe the 49ers would trade for him. They don't seem to have a problem playing those with pending felonies hanging over their head.
