Report: Andre Johnson won't be traded

Though four teams are interested in trading for receiver Andre Johnson, the Texans have no plans to trade him, reports the Houston Chronicle.

If the two sides are unable to reach an agreement, The Chronicle's John McClain writes that he could sit out until the two sides strike a deal. However, the story states that Johnson will probably report at some point before the season-opener against Washington. Otherwise, he'd be giving up over $500,000 per week for each game he misses.

Johnson will go down as one of the best receivers in NFL history. But his legacy could be marred some if he misses games due to a contract dispute. No one will really care or worry now, even if he misses some of training camp.

But if he lets this dispute linger into the regular season, then it could raise some eyebrows around the league about a player who otherwise has a great reputation in every other phase.
