Report: Asante Samuel leaves practice early

Asante Samuel left practice early leaving it less likely the cornerback will be available for the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.

According to Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer, Samuel was dressed at the start of practice but took “mostly mental repetitions” and then left the indoor practice facility.

Samuel was held out of practice on Thursday and was limited on Wednesday. He’s missed the last two games with a sprained knee, and the Eagles were hoping to have him for Sunday’s game at Dallas. If Samuel cannot start, Joselio Hanson will take his place.
