Report: Belichick won't be fined for profanity

Bill Belichick apparently won't be disciplined by the NFL for the profanity he uttered following the New England Patriots' 37-16 victory over the New York Jets, according to the Boston Herald.

After the game, Belichick blurted out to his son, Stephen, "Thirty-seven points on the best defense in the league, ---- my ----," but won't face any fine from the NFL, said league spokesman Brian McCarthy because the remark came in a private conversation.

However, it appears that New York Jets coach Rex Ryan might be facing a fine for telling a heckling fan to "Shut the ---- up" when that fan remarked to him that "Belichick is better than you."

Ryan had the misfortune of having his misstep caught on video for everyone to see, and hence, that may be why he will be disciplined.

Not surprisingly, Belichick did not want to discuss his colorful comment when quizzed about it by the media.
