Report: Colts believe Ahmad Bradshaw broke ankle

It didn't look good when Colts running back Ahmad Bradshaw was spotted in the locker room wearing a protective walking boot and walking on crutches.

Now, it looks like Bradshaw could be out for quite some time.

According to a report from NFL.com, the Colts are fearing that Bradshaw broke his ankle during Sunday's 42-20 loss to the Patriots. Bradshaw had been Indianapolis' best runner this season. This injury news hurts the Colts significantly, as Trent Richardson has yet to assert himself as a running back the team can count on consistently.

This injury will open a door for Richardson to prove he was worth trading Cleveland for. It will also open up more carries for running back Boom Herron as well. With Bradshaw down, the Colts could also turn to Andrew Luck to air the ball out even more than he has this season.
