Report: Cortland Finnegan jets from Titans camp
Arguably the best defensive player for the Tennessee Titans has joined the best offensive player for the club in missing camp.
According to Jason Cole of Yahoo! Sports, Titans cornerback Cortland Finnegan left training camp on Friday night in dispute of his contract situation. That puts him in the same boat as running back Chris Johnson, who has yet to show up for camp.
Finnegan is entering the final year of his contract and is set to earn $3.293 million. Clearly, he’s looking for an extension. Maybe he thought by showing up he’d exhibit good faith and a deal would be done quickly. He signed a $16.8 million, four-year contract in 2008 and is looking for a big deal.
