Report: DeAngelo Williams has minor foot surgery
Carolina Panthers running back DeAngelo Williams has undergone minor surgery on his foot, according to Darin Gantt of the Rock Hill (S.C.) Herald.
Williams reported on his personal Web site that he was going to have a procedure. Gantt reports that it is related to the foot/ankle issues that sidelined him late in the season, forcing him to miss the final two games.
Williams is yet another player who faced surgery but was able to go through the Pro Bowl without having to back out (yeah, right) because of injuries like Minnesota left tackle Bryant McKinnie. Dallas Cowboys Jay Ratliff and DeMarcus Ware also participated in the game despite pending surgeries.
North Carolina foot specialist Dr. Robert Anderson reportedly performed the surgery.
