Report: Discipline expected for Favre in Sterger case

In the final days of Brett Favre’s career – if you believe he’s going to remain true to his word and hang ’em up after 20 seasons – he’ll be disciplined for a case of some allegedly lewd text messaging.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, a decision on Favre will be handed down in the next 48 hours and the Minnesota Vikings quarterback “is expected to be disciplined.”

To what end? Favre missed Tuesday night’s game with the Philadelphia Eagles with a concussion. He has not been cleared medically to return. The NFL has been investigating the Favre case since October and there has been plenty of suggestions for why the case has dragged on like it has.

Now, if this report is accurate, there will be some closure before Favre walks away for good.
