Report: Eagles fear worst with Marlin Jackson
When you get a report that a player left the field in tears, it’s generally viewed as a serious injury.
In this instance, the Philadelphia Eagles are fearing the worst when it comes to veteran defensive back Marlin Jackson, who they signed as a free agent in March. Jackson left the practice field in the Eagles’ indoor facility today in tears and according to Jason La Canfora of the NFL Network, team officials are fearing the worst with an ankle injury.
“It’s not good,” one source told La Canfora.
Jackson played in only four games last season and seven in 2008 because of torn ACL’s each season. Now, Jackson has injured his right ankle and he could miss significant time again. His history of durability, or lack of durability, made the signing somewhat of a question in the first place. Hopefully, the Eagles’ fears will be eased and he will not be significantly injured.
