Report: Eagles wanted Kampman to visit
The Philadelphia Eagles wanted to bring free-agent defensive end Aaron Kampman in for a visit on Friday but agent Neil Cornrich put up a road block, according to Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
Kampman is in Jacksonville right now visiting the Jaguars and the Seattle Seahawks have been reported to be interested. Silverstein suggests that Cornrich gave the Eagles the Heisman stiff arm because they were not willing to present a financial offer.
Teams have to be concerned about Kampman’s health. He tore an ACL in November and has been rehabilitating since surgery. Unless something changes, the Jaguars will be the frontrunner for Kampman, who is easily the top available pass rusher with Julius Peppers and Kyle Vanden Bosch off the market.
