The Chicago Bears remain in play for the services of defensive coordinator Perry Fewell, and he could decide between them and the New York Giants at any point.

A soure close to the situation told Dan Pompei of the Chicago Tribune that Fewell had not made up his mind.

Fewell is the top choice for both the Bears and the Giants. However, secondary names have popped up for the Giants and there are no known fallback plans for the Bears. Fewell has worked for both head coaches—Lovie Smith and Tom Coughlin—most recently serving as the defensive backs coach under Smith in 2005 with the Bears,
