Report: Hamlin on his way out of Dallas
Ken Hamlin says the ride is over with the Dallas Cowboys.
The veteran safety announced on his Twitter account that he no longer expects to be with the Cowboys.
“I would like to say to all of my fans that I appreciate all the love that you have showed me in Dallas. It was a good run. Thanks.”
The move does not come as a surprise when considering he was due to earn $5.596 million this season, according to Todd Archer of the Dallas Morning News, $1.09 million of which is guaranteed.
Hamlin missed the beginning of the (voluntary) offseason workout program on Monday after being spotted at the Playboy mansion in Los Angeles over the weekend. His departure will fuel speculation that the Cowboys will strongly consider selecting a safety in the first or second round of the draft.
