Report: If Little returns, there could be market for him
Veteran defensive end Leonard Little will considering retiring, according to Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post Dispatch. But if Little decides he wants to continue playing, there could be a market for the pass rusher.
Thomas notes that Little was the Rams’ best pass rusher this past season and they could be interested in bringing him back in a situational role. The Carolina Panthers could be in play too. Little’s offseason residence is in Charlotte, N.C., and he has a relationship with Carolina defensive line coach Brian Baker. Baker was an assistant for the Rams from 2006 to 2008.
James Hall, who started for much of the season for the Rams, will also be an unrestricted free agent, making it an offseason of transition for St. Louis on the line.
