Report: Jets will ponder possibility of Peyton
The New York Jets will have interest in Peyton Manning, once he is released today by the Indianapolis Colts, says the New York Post.
Citing a source, the newspaper said the Jets would have to see exactly how healthy Manning is in recovering from his neck injury before deciding whether to make a serious run for him.
The Colts have decided to release Manning rather than pay him a $28 million roster bonus.
The bigger question might be whether Manning is interested in the dysfunctional Jets, not whether the Jets would have interest in him. Manning's time in Indianapolis was clockwork efficient to the point that it was almost boring as the Colts dominated the AFC South since its inception.
The Jets at times have been more like an episode of the Kardashians in terms of drama. Will that steer Manning away from Rex and the boys?
