Report: John Skelton to start for Cardinals Sunday

The Arizona Cardinals will start John Skelton at quarterback on Sunday when they host the Cleveland Browns.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Skelton will replace Kevin Kolb as the starter recovers from a concussion suffered in last week’s upset of the San Francisco 49ers. Kolb took a knee to the helmet during that game. Although he practiced this week, he will not play in the game.

Skelton replaced Kolb earlier this season when he was sidelined with a nagging and painful foot injury. The Browns will also be without their starting quarterback because of a concussion. Colt McCoy was knocked out by the Steelers’ James Harrison last week and Harrison has been suspended this week.
