Report: Jolly due in court Thursday on felony drug charge

Green Bay Packers defensive lineman Johnny Jolly has a pre-trial hearing on Thursday in Houston for his felony drug case, the Green Bay Press-Gazette reports.

Jolly was driving a vehicle that police found a codeine mixture in when he was in the parking lot of a nightclub in July 2008.

The charge of possession of at least 200 grams of codeine was dropped last summer and then re-filed in December. Originally, the pre-trial hearing was scheduled for Jan. 26. Authorities allege that the amount of codeine is allegedly mixed with soda to create a drink called “lean.”

Jolly will be subject to discipline under the NFL’s personal conduct policy depending on the outcome of the case. That’s after the law is finished with him, of course.
